Fidelity Media releases MegaSeg 6.2 Pro DJ and Radio Automation for macOS Monterey
Includes over 70 Improvements and New Features
Champaign-Urbana, Illinois—November 1, 2021—Fidelity Media is excited to announce the release of MegaSeg 6.2, their professional DJ and radio automation system exclusive for Mac. This update adds full support for Apple’s latest operating system, macOS Monterey, with updated dialogs and buttons which have a more unified aesthetic, and improves overall Accessibility.
Among over 70 improvements and new features, MegaSeg 6.2 also introduces a video preview display within the edit dialog to set custom chapter markers, and displays the category list with their assigned colors. Radio stations can utilize cue sheet metadata for long mix tracks and shows, set events to insert podcasts directly from the Apple Podcast app or website, export play logs for SoundExchange, and use new Web Command Interface controls. DJs can control MegaSeg with more types of “presenter remotes” to segue, pause, and restart the last track, as well as use new MIDI controller presets for Numark’s MixTrack Pro FX and Pro 3, Pioneer’s DDJ-SR2, and Hercules DJControl Starlight and Wave.
Support for Apple Silicon M1-series chips was also recently introduced, with additional video playback optimizations, improved library and playlist sorting, the ability to send Now Playing info to Zoom meetings, and new radio automation options for long-form scheduled shows.
MegaSeg 6.2 Highlights

- Insert URL events accepts podcast URLs copied directly from the Apple Podcast app or website.

Pro and DJ Edition Features
MegaSeg is available in two editions. MegaSeg Pro includes automated music scheduling, events to insert tracks, IDs, or messaging, rules for applying artist separations, video playback with ambient visuals, hot keys for triggering sound effects, request lists with reminder notes, and other advanced features for professional DJs and VJs, radio stations, and hospitality businesses. The DJ edition focuses on core live mixing via visual beat syncing with multitouch gestures, multiple outputs for headphone preview, MIDI control, automatic volume, advanced categorization, track logging, and Music.app (aka iTunes) playlist integration.

MegaSeg Pro and DJ editions can be purchased at https://megaseg.com for $199 and $99 USD respectively. MegaSeg DJ is also available on the Mac App Store. Older versions of MegaSeg Pro and DJ editions can be upgraded for $69 and $29 respectively. MegaSeg is compatible with any Mac running macOS 10.6 and higher, including macOS Monterey with Apple Silicon M1-series chips.
